Star quarterback Aaron Rodgers was sidelined earlier this season after suffering an Achilles injury during his first drive as the new leader for the New York Jets.
However, there appears to be a glimmer of hope for Jets fans. NBC reporter Melissa Stark recently noted that Rodgers made an appearance at MetLife Stadium for the Jets’ Sunday night game against the Kansas City Chiefs.
This was the first time he was back at the venue since going down with the season-altering Achilles tear. Though the Jets ended up losing the tough matchup by a score of 23-20, Rodgers’ presence offered a positive sign about the status of his recovery.
Last month, Rodgers directly addressed his injury during an interview on The Pat McAfee Show. He was hesitant to provide any definite timeline for his return.
Instead, Rodgers emphasized that he was focused on letting his body fully heal both physically and mentally.
The veteran quarterback made it clear that his top priority is working hard in rehab with the goal of being able to eventually resume playing football again.
