No prayer can be completed without the mantras and the Sankalp. Here we will discuss the Sankalp mantra and its vidhi. 

Sankalp mantra         

Sankalpa basically is the proposal in the Vedic way. Traditionally, before we perform any, we ought to take Sankalpa, which simply is the declaration to ourselves and the God within us.

Also, the Vedas establish the fact that our universe evolution is a Sankalpa of Lord Narayana.

But, if we look at it practically, it’s a one-pointed resolution to focus on one specific goal, both physically and psychologically.

It is here to refine the will and to bring focus and harmonize the mind and body. 

Sankalp Mantra Meaning:

In a real sense, Sankalpa implies taking the firm and ideal choice to achieve one specific work despite different hindrances, inconveniences to finish that covetous work.

Doing pooja is profoundly favorable according to Hindu Sanatana Dharma.

Sankalpam is a vow (guarantee) and letting God and holy people know. When we are doing the pooja. What mantra we will recite, what number of occasions we will recite, and what we need in lieu for our work.

It is originally taken from the Sanskrit language, which explains it as “San” means “Good” and “Kalpa” means “Saasthra or Veda”.

The word itself means that you are taking an oath or resolution or a solemn pledge, or you have an intention of doing something good.

In the religious ceremony ritual, Sankalpa is taken to achieve the purpose of the ceremony.  

Sankalp mantra kya hai?

Sankalp mantra is anything or a kind of resolution or oath you chant before the puja to show your will and desire.

Normally, there are different kinds of the Sankalp mantra for every type of puja whether you do it for yourself or someone else. 

Sankalp kyo liya jata hai?

Sankalp is often taken to avoid any of the negative feelings that are building inside our bodies.

It may seem illogical to many, but when you take a Sankalp, you often eradicate the intention of harming anyone and the desires you put forward are not going to harm anyone.

They will be in your best wishes but not affect anyone badly. 

Puja sankalp mantra in sanskrit 

Here are some of the puja Sankalp mantras with the transliteration of Sanskrit. 

Ganapathi Dhyanam:

Shuklam Baradaram Vishnum, Sasi Varnam Chatur Bhujam,

Prasanna Vadanan Dyayet, Sarva Vignoba Santhaye   

This puja sankalp mantra is the first sloka from vishnu sahasranama.

Pranayama:

Om Bhoo… Om Bhuva … Ogum Suva… Om Maha… Om Jana … Om Thapa … Ogum Sathyam …

Om Tatsa vithur varenyam Bargo devasya dhi mahi dhiyo yona prachodayath

Om Apa … Jyothi rasa … Amrutham Brahma … Bhoorbuvasuvarom …

You have to touch the ears three times while saying Om, Om, Om.

Sankalpam:

Mamo Partha samastha durithakshaya dwara

Sri Parameshwara preethyartham, (or Sri Narayana Preethyartham – for Vaishnava) 

Generally, this is chanted for making Lord Parameshwara or Narayana happy.

Sri Parvathi Prasada sidhyartham, (the blessings and grace of Goddess Parvathi…

You can definitely change or add more gods/goddesses in place of Parvathi for making it more universal. 

Asmaham Sakudumbanam

You can use Asya Yajamanasya Sakudumbasya if you are doing it on behalf of another person, which is very common in the common brown households.

This mantra helps to remove the obstacles and make the attempt and target successfully.

• Sakala Vyathi Nivruthyartham 

This is chanted for a healthy life and to remove all diseases.

• Gnana vaapthyartham

It is very great for students and people who want to acquire knowledge.

• Sakala vasikaranartham 

You can chant this mantra regularly for attracting desired things, including lovers.

• Swaya haara Jaya vabyartham

People who are stuck in court cases can chant this mantra to win in court cases.

• Abam ruthyu dosha nivru naartham

This is helpful when you have severe illnesses and surgeries. 

• Dhana Dhaanya samruthyartham 

Often, this mantra is chanted to get dhanam (money) and dhanyam (materials).

• Dharamartha kama moksha chathurvidha Phala purushartha sidhyartham

Basically, people chant this mantra to get dharma, desire, wealth, salvation.

• Sakala san Mangala vapthyartha Aroogya druda gathratha sidhyartham 

It is best to chant regularly for a healthy body with all the blessings.

• Sri Swayamvaraparvathi maha mantra japam aham karishye (i am going to do swayamvaraparvathi japam)

Obviously, you can do changes according to your desires and needs like in this case, you can change the “swayamvaraparvathi” with other slokas.

Hanuman sankalp mantra:

Here is how you take the Sankalpa when you are doing Hanuman Pooja along with the mantra.

Firstly, after sitting for the puja, purify your right-hand palm, which you will later use for the puja.

Now, take the Ganga Jal into your right-hand palm through the pancha patra and clean the palm.

After this, take more water, flowers, and leaves in your palm and proceed to offer this Sankalpa mantra.
